Technical Information

We manufacture AllStar Pitching Mounds with a technique called Vacuum Resin Infusion. This system is more timely & expensive for us, but it gives a much better result and a much stronger mound.

In the Infusion process, the air is vacuumed out of the fiberglass sheets and composite materials before the resin is injected. The Mounds are packed super tight making the fiberglass much stronger. Less resin is needed so the mounds are lighter with this process.

We do not use styrofoam in any of our mounds. We use only fiberglass & composite materials. AllStar Mounds contain no wood products. Many high tech airplane & boat builders are now using the same infusion process. The backside of our mounds are smooth with no fiberglass splinters sticking out.

The top and sides of all mounds are covered with 60 oz. Nylon Astroturf® and we then secure a white rubber pitching block.
