Our Story
We are a small, family owned business called Gulfstream, located in Dalton, GA. Gulfstream was started in 1989 by Mike Morgan and his partner, Anthony Cochran.
Gulfstream didn't start with making pitching mounds originally, but we have always had an emphatic love for baseball. We have made a variety of fiberglass based products over the years. In January of 1995, some friends from our hometown Dalton Parks & Rec called and asked if we'd consider making some pitching mounds for their upcoming season. We took on the challenge and the first Allstar Mounds were born!
Allstar Mounds were made only for local parks & rec for years, but when the economic recession of 2008 took place, Gulfstream almost fell apart.. We were a few months away from closing our doors for good, and we decided to try one more idea. We started offering and marketing Allstar Mounds to recreation parks, schools, and homes across the country. Gulfstream was saved and became more successful than ever before!
Now, Allstar Mounds are found in 49 states, Canada, and Australia. We are growing year by year as we do our part in helping baseball organizations and enthusiasts across the country develop and grow young athletes and bring communities together through the greatest sport in the world!
Mike's son, Austin, has stepped up to the plate. Austin has a strong background in training kids and youth ministry. He is committed to continuing the legacy of Allstar Mounds and making the best portable pitching mound in the market that you can count on, and the most personable customer experience!
