Allstar Mounds 8"
Formerly known as the Allstar #3 Mound, the Allstar Mounds 8" practice pitching mound was designed for practice games and bullpen warmup for pitchers age 13 through 15. Many parks also use the Allstar Mounds 8" for games. This mound also has a thin edge all around, so it lays almost even with the field and won’t move around while the pitcher is going through his motion.
The Allstar Mounds 8" is 101” long x 66” wide x 8” high where the pitcher stands in front of the pitching rubber and weighs approximately 150 lbs. The distance between the pitching rubber and the front of the mound is 70” so the pitcher’s front foot should land on the mound and not in the dirt. This pitching mound comes with a replaceable 24" x 6" pitching rubber that is secured by three bolts. We use the highest quality sports turf we can find, 60 ounce knitted nylon Astroturf that comes in three colors - Clay, Green, or Tan.
No wood or styrofoam used in this product, our mounds are all fiberglass and composite materials that will stand strong over time. No special maintenance or storage requirements. You can store these in any position, including standing up on their edge, or you can leave them outside year around. These mounds are completely weather resistant.
Allstar Mounds have a full 5-year warranty on the fiberglass shell, this does not cover the natural wearing of the turf over time.
